About

Uppsala Goes Lapland #1 (FULLY BOOKED!)
04 December - 09 December 2017
Location: Uppsala

Description:
Lapland is the classic destination every exchange student goes to. Departure point is Uppsala and you travel by bus overnight all the way up to Kiruna, the biggest town in that corner of the world, you check in and have a buffet breakfast and start with the activities planned such as: guided tour of the town, chance to visit the biggest mine in Scandinavia, snow mobile riding and husky sledding. After one night you continue travelling further north to Abisko, a beautiful place surrounded by stunning nature and the hostel is right on a lake where you will have the chance to try out a traditional Swedish sauna and cool off outside with an improvised snow fight or maybe even dip into the hole in the ice of the frozen lake!

If you wish to see more photos of the trip last year check out the album (https://www.facebook.com/pg/UppsalaIK/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1360776417311870 ) or on Instagram search #IKLapland2017

**** The number of seats is limited to the capacity of the bus so first come first serve! Make sure it does not clash with an exam or compulsory university seminar as we as Int. Committee are with the Student Nations and NOT the university so we don’t know your schedule and neither does Scanbalt! There is always the option to resell your ticket to someone but you need to speak to Scanbalt about it first as they would need to change the name (for which they take a €12 admin fee). ****
